Bali.

My family where lucky enough to holiday in the stunning mountains of Bali over the New Year . Our closes town was Ubud which was 45 minutes away, but our villa came with a wonderful driver that would take us into Ubud every day, and also to places that are not on the tourist maps. We had monkeys playing in the trees in front of our pool, and views of rice paddies, mountain ranges and rain forests to die for. The weather was amazing, with temperatures cooler than what Byron Bay was experiencing, ( a heat wave at the time ) and in the evenings we would watch the rain come in from across the valley while eating our delicious Indonesian meals on the verandah prepared by our masterful cook Maria, and her food is some of the best I have ever eaten. I hope you enjoy our photos as much as we enjoyed our holiday.

Kit, our head stylist was also working on a fashion photo shoot while we were holidaying in Bali. The shoot was for the label Isla Collective.

An unusual antique store, somewhere in Ubud, I don't think I would be able to find it again.

The store had some great interior styling ideas for Alida an Miller.

Happy Birthday

Hope every one had a great Christmas and a big New Year. The Alida and Miller team are back at work, and looking forward to our new projects.
Alida and Miller finished up the year with my grandsons 1 year old birthday party, and what a great way to see out 2014. We love styling, organising, sourcing and planning for events, even as small as a 1 year old party( although this event was not that small, only the client ). It brings our team great pleasure to see a special event, become a fabulous reality, whether it be for a small wedding, cocktail party or just a gathering of friends. And even though this party was for my grandson, we still organised the event, as we would for any client. Pe- planning is the key, with lots of ideas thrown around, looking at styling suggestions, and sifting through food menus etc, and like interior design, mood boards presented.
Below are some ideas to make your child's birthday one to remember.

Helium  balloons kept in place with a golf tee and fishing line, looks amazing.
