Only 5 days left for Christmas shopping in our beloved Byron Bay, so Alida and Miller have put together our favourite shops for retail, top of our list for eating and a place to stay when you are visiting. Even if you can't be here to experience the most beautiful place in Australia ( yes we are terribly bias ).

Brauerbirds Bangalow.
Top of our list for Christmas gift ideas would have to be Brauerbirds In Bangalow, a small heritage village just 10 minutes drive from Byron Bay. The store is situated in the original old bank, and true to the play on words ( the shop is owned by Kathy and Ralph Brauer ) the bower bird collection of beautiful clothing, furniture, home wares, lighting, gift wares and collectibles from around the world is a must to visit. Kathy is so welcoming and happy to help with ideas for that special person. Check it out, I promise you won't be disappointed.
Liberty Trading Co.
Our next stop would be Liberty Trading Co, Owned and managed By Angela Honeywell. Liberty Trading Co is relatively new to Byron Bay, but has the other stores talking ( in a good way) with their on-trend affordable home wares, gifts and stationary, that mixes the practical with "just because " and the needs with the wants. Liberty Trading Co focuses on smaller boutique brands and up and coming designers. Their cushion collection is the best in town.

11:11 o'clock Byron Bay
If you are looking for the best labels 11:11 o'clock is the place to go. Owned and managed by the lovely Ellie, 11:11 offers all the designer labels you need, from Karen Walker to Zimmerman to Shakuhachi to Dr Denim and One teaspoon just to name a few, but our pick for Christmas would be Isla Collective.

Hope and May.
Right next door to 11:11 is Hope and May, an eclectic fusion of raw and Bohemian inspired fashion and interiors, children's wear and accessories. Sourced and inspired by culturally rich and international locations. Owned and managed by Melinda Maguire and her daughters Kobi and Tahlia, Hope and May is a delightful shopping experience and you are sure to find that perfect gift for any occasion.

Atlantic Byron Bay.
After all this shopping you will defiantly need to put your feet up and relax, and there is no better place than the Atlantic. The accommodation, classic beach style, with 3 different cottages having a Caribbean feel, and all joined by a sun bleached path, or just for fun why not stay in their American Airstream Caravan. There is a stunning pool for those hot lazy days, and all in walking distance to cafes, shops, restaurants and the beach. The Atlantic is the perfect getaway. You must book early in the year if you would like to spend your Christmas holidays at the Atlantic.
St Elmo
Last but certainly not least is St Elmo Dinning Room and Bar Byron Bay.
St Elmo is plating up modern Spanish tapas dishes and share plates, inspired by fresh flavoursome ingredients. Creative and delicious cocktails can be shaken or stirred while you relax at the bar, and they also have over 15 wines by the glass from a global list of over 100 bottles of wine that have been carefully picked to compliment the flavours of the first class food they serve. St Elmo is an outstanding
restaurant, equal to any you will find in a cosmopolitan city. We are so lucking to have it right here on our door step in Byron Bay.
