Alida Buffalo Vintage

As I have mentioned before, I kidnapped my daughter Kit to become Alida and Millers head stylist  with our Interior design company last year, but her first love was fashion, and for many years styled for different fashion houses and worked on many photo shots with up and coming models. In between these projects Kit would travel the world sourcing vintage clothing for her online shop Alida Buffalo.
Kit is still asked frequently to style fashion shoots and never turns down the opportunity if she is not working on a interior design project. Today she was styling her beautiful friend Larni who was visiting from Japan, and with summer coming up, out came the vintage bikinis and down to Watgoes Beach of Byron Bay they went.

Retail Therapy.

Alida and Miller have been in Melbourne this past week, sourcing suppliers and wholesale outlets for interior design and furniture. On Wednesday we had a couple of hours to spare, so decided to walked the pavement of Chapel St, and much to our delight stumbled across David Bromley & Co art gallery- home wares- and clothing. The ironic thing about this find is that I have never ventured into David Bromleys store in Byron Bay were we live, but end up in Melbourne to see this beautiful collection of  furniture, art and Yuge Bromleys  stunning clothing range. I am a great admirer of David Bromley and was not disappointed. The store is in an old furniture shop, with collectables on street level and art gallery up stairs, every corner fills you with a different delight, from candles to vases to sculptures to scarfs to clothing to quilts and more, so if you need retail therapy this is the place to go. I was greeted by Tim Clarkson who helped me pick out and purches a beautiful hand painted Bromley quilt, and if you are visiting  the store ask for Tim, he is a real character and a great help on all things David Bromley.

Byron Bay Hinterland

Alida and Miller have just completed a project on a stunning property in the Byron Hinterland. The brief: Hampton's Beach Style. Our team were particularly excited about this house as it is in our beloved Byron Bay, and designing around the St Barts/ Hampton's/ Beach look is a style that we really enjoyed bringing together. Our design team are onto the next project, but we will all miss spending time at this amazing home.
