Alida and Miller have a new member to our team, and I am delighted that it happens to be my daughter Kit. I have tried for a couple of years to bribe her to come and work for me, but she was always  busy with her own business, Alida Buffalo an online Styling and Vintage store. Kit has travelled around the world for Styling  photo shots and collecting her one of a kind vintage pieces, so it was really hard to tie her down .I knew she would be a great asset to Alida and Miller with her expert eye and her Styling background . At the beginning of the year  together we created Alida Buffalo Home Wares on Kits webpage, alidabuffalo.com/homeware, but it took the birth of her son to finally convince her to come on over . I think she realised with all that was going on in her life, this could be the perfect solution to mix motherhood with business. We will be showing more soon of  the photo shoot Kit did at Wizard Mountain. Wizards Mountain was also the first interior styling job kit did for Alida and Miller and we all thought she did a wonderful job

I am happy to share our latest project with you , this was defiantly a fun out of the box project to work on, our clients are a young creative couple  from the Byron Bay Area, that have a love for anything quirky and out there, so as you could imagine we were over the moon to branch out and work on such a fun fresh project!

This was a great chance for me to hand over the brief to one of our younger interior stylists, my daughter Kit,  she has worked on similar projects to this before, so I felt confident  that she could deliver exactly what our clients envisioned! Eclectic, bold, loud, retro, quirky, industrial, vintage  and making our organised clutter organised, were just a few words we had to work with to make this house come to life.
There was very little input from me, as I had no doubt  that  the team would only come up with WOW. It's so important to have a great bunch of talented people on your staff and know that every project they are involved in will be amazing.

Alida and Miller were asked suggestions on a location to do a photo shot ,  and the Byron Bay home that we had just finished interior styling came instantly to mind. More photos coming of the shot soon

Rustic Meets Exotic

Todays moodboard is all about a fusion of rustic and exotic and I think the images above capture this perfectly, it very much suits the climate and life style of Byron bay,  i am loving all the different textures and charming finishes used!

Alida and Miller was asked to interior design this beautiful old house in Bangalow ,the hinterland of Byron Bay. The brief was "do as you like " a designers dream words. The 100 year old house originally had 2 bedrooms,1 bathroom ,1 living room and wrap around verandahs , but the client needed 4 bedrooms, 2 bath,2 living areas a dinning room , a swimming pool, and the verandah needed to continue around the new extension for their ever expanding adult family to enjoy different out door living spaces all year round. We worked closely with the builder to make this beautiful home become a reality . The outside area needed a bit of love and attention so in came the gardeners to work their magic. Our clients are so happy with the over all  look and feel of the home and  are really excited with the new spaces we have created for them inside and out
